U.S. stocks traded mixed midway through trading, with the Dow Jones index falling around 0.1% on Monday amid the ongoing Iran-U.S. conflict.
The Dow traded down 0.10% to 48,929.19 while the NASDAQ gained 0.37% to 22,751.80. The S&P 500 also rose, gaining, 0.03% to 6,880.74.

Energy shares gained by 1.8% on Monday.
In trading on Monday, consumer discretionary stocks fell by 1.7%.
Top Headline
Sealed Air Corp (NYSE:SEE) reported better-than-expected earnings for the fourth quarter.
The company posted quarterly earnings of 77 cents per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 73 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $1.401 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.342 billion.
Equities Trading UP
- Red Cat Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:RCAT) shares shot up 24% to $14.50. Shares of defense technology stocks traded higher following the joint U.S.-Israel attack on Iran over the weekend. Risk of a prolonged conflict provides support for expanded military spending.
- Shares of TMD Energy Ltd (NYSE:TMDE) got a boost, surging 166% to $2.45. Shares of oil and gas companies traded higher after the U.S. and Israel launched strikes against Iran over the weekend.
- Astrana Health Inc (NASDAQ:ASTH) shares were also up, gaining 26% to $25.67 following better-than-expected quarterly earnings.
Equities Trading DOWN
- Aardvark Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:AARD) shares dropped 56% to $5.44 following the company's announcement to voluntarily pause its Phase 3 HERO trial for Prader-Willi Syndrome.
- Shares of Uniqure NV (NASDAQ:QURE) were down 37% to $9.80. uniQure announced on Monday that the FDA has advised against using Phase 1/2 study data as primary evidence for the marketing application of AMT-130, its investigational gene therapy for Huntington's disease.
- Turning Point Brands Inc (NYSE:TPB) was down, falling 20% to $109.99 following fourth-quarter results.

In commodity news, oil traded up 5.6% to $70.76 while gold traded up 1.1% at $5,311.30.
Silver traded down 6.2% to $87.55 on Monday, while copper fell 1.6% to $5.9630.
Euro zone
European shares were lower today. The eurozone's STOXX 600 fell 1.65%, while Spain's IBEX 35 Index fell 2.71%. London's FTSE 100 fell 1.39%, Germany's DAX fell 2.35% and France's CAC 40 declined 2.10% during the session.
Asia Pacific Markets
Asian markets closed mostly lower on Monday, with Japan's Nikkei 225 falling 1.35%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index dipping 2.14%, China's Shanghai Composite rising 0.47% and India's BSE Sensex declining 1.29%.
Economics
- The ISM manufacturing PMI fell to 52.4 in February from 52.6 in the previous month, but topped market estimates of 51.8.
- The S&P Global manufacturing PMI declined to 51.6 in February from 53.4 in the prior month, down from market estimates of 52.6.
