Granite (NYSE:GVA) announced today that it has been awarded the Glenn Highway MP 66.5 to 92 Pavement Preservation project by the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities. The approximately $15M contract is federally funded and was included in Granite's first quarter 2026 CAP.

Glenn Highway travels 179 miles from Anchorage to Glennallen. A National Scenic Byway, the road provides access to stunning landscapes and a wealth of outdoor activities. Granite's scope of work includes resurfacing the highway from milepost 83 to 92. Additionally, the project will replace culverts, guardrail, striping, and signage along the length of the project.

The project is expected to begin in May 2026 and conclude by July 2027. Granite's Palmer Facility will provide 27,000 tons of hot mix asphalt and the Lucas Quarry will provide 2,300 tons of riprap products.
