The Feud With Trump

Massie filed an FEC statement of candidacy for Kentucky’s 4th District House seat in 2028, just days after losing his Republican primary to Ed Gallrein, a former Navy SEAL backed by President Donald Trump.

“This allows me to raise funds to continue my political operations supporting my position as a current office holder and as a potential candidate for federal office,” Massie said in a statement, adding that he has not made a “final decision” on which role to seek.
