The growing convergence of digital assets and sustainability-focused investing took a new step forward on Tuesday as 7RCC Global launched the 7RCC Spot Bitcoin and Carbon Credit Futures ETF (NYSE:BTCK). The fund, which began trading on Thursday, is designed to provide investors with exposure to both Bitcoin and regulated carbon credit futures through a single exchange-traded product.

The launch comes as asset managers continue to explore innovative ways to package digital asset exposure for institutional and retail investors, particularly through regulated investment vehicles. By combining Bitcoin with carbon markets, 7RCC aims to offer investors access to two asset classes whose performance is driven by different factors—Bitcoin by adoption trends and monetary dynamics, and carbon credits by emissions policies and compliance demand.

Rali Perduhova, co-founder and CEO of 7RCC Global said that the ETF is intended to provide a transparent and regulated framework for investors seeking exposure to emerging asset classes.

Key features of BTCK:

  • Tracks the 7RCC Kaiko Bitcoin Carbon Credit Index and seeks to reflect daily changes in Bitcoin prices and the value of carbon credit futures, net of expenses.
  • Allocates approximately 80% of assets to Bitcoin and 20% to carbon credit futures.
  • Carbon exposure comes from regulated compliance markets, including:
    • European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS)
    • California Cap-and-Trade (CCA)
    • Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI)
  • Uses regulated carbon markets rather than voluntary carbon credits.
  • Designed to combine two distinct return drivers: digital assets and carbon markets.
  • Provides bitcoin exposure without requiring investors to maintain a crypto wallet or exchange account.
  • Targets investors seeking sustainability-focused strategies alongside digital asset exposure.
  • May appeal to institutional investors with ESG or sustainability mandates that have historically faced barriers to accessing bitcoin.
  • Structured as a series of Teucrium Commodity Trust, sponsored by Teucrium Trading LLC.
