Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) is back above $1,900 after Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) announced the launch of the cheapest ETH and Solana (CRYPTO: SOL) ETFs on the market.

What Launched And Why The Pricing Stands Out

The Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust (NYSE:MSSE) and Morgan Stanley Solana Trust (NYSE:MSOL) began trading on NYSE Arca Tuesday at a 0.14% expense ratio, undercutting every existing competitor in both categories, according to Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas.

Both funds stake a portion of their holdings and pass staking rewards directly to investors rather than keeping them.

MSSE tracks the CoinDesk Ether Benchmark 4PM NY Settlement Rate while MSOL follows the CoinDesk Solana Benchmark 4PM NY Settlement Rate.

“Digital assets are becoming an increasingly important component of diversified investment portfolios,” said Amy Oldenburg, head of digital asset strategy at Morgan Stanley.

Why The Bitcoin Fund’s Success Matters Here?

Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin Trust (NYSE:MSBT) crossed $400 million in assets under management within four months of launch, a strong signal of client demand that accelerated the firm’s expansion into ETH and SOL.

Balchunas called the Bitcoin fund’s trajectory a good sign given it launched in the middle of what he described as winter conditions for crypto markets.

The two new funds build on that foundation. There are already eight SOL ETFs on the market with combined net assets of $889.3 million, according to SoSoValue, making Morgan Stanley’s entry into a competitive but growing category.

What Gives Morgan Stanley A Built-In Edge

Morgan Stanley’s wealth management business includes roughly 16,000 financial advisors overseeing more than $9 trillion in client assets, while its ownership of E*TRADE gives the firm direct access to millions of self-directed retail investors.

That distribution network gives the new ETFs immediate reach that most competitors cannot match at launch.

The firm filed for both ETFs in January 2026 as part of what was then described as the first crypto ETF push by a major US bank.

The SEC’s more crypto-friendly posture under the Trump administration cleared the path for that filing to become a live product seven months later.

Where Does MS Stock Stand?

Morgan Stanley shares fell 1% but remain up 28% year to date. The RSI stands at 45.65, signaling consolidation rather than a clear directional move.

Key levels for MS:

  • $219 — resistance near the 20-day and 50-day SMA zone
  • $206.50 — support level where sellers could find the next check
