Nasdaq 100 market breadth has strengthened to its best level in more than a year — more than 70% of stocks in the Invesco QQQ Trust (NASDAQ:QQQ) are now trading above their 200-day moving average, marking the strongest breadth reading in more than a year.
ETF Inflows Highlight Investor Sentiment
That momentum is echoed in recent ETF inflow data. On Friday, the State Street SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:SPY) led all ETFs with $4.13 billion in net inflows, while the SPDR Gold Trust (NYSE:GLD) attracted nearly $637 million. Total ETF net flows reached $15.3 billion, driven by strong demand for U.S. equity funds. Semiconductor ETFs, however, faced notable redemptions, with the iShares Semiconductor ETF (NASDAQ:SOXX) losing $1.16 billion.
QQQ Sees Significant Inflows
Investor interest in large-cap technology stocks remains robust. On Wednesday, the Invesco QQQ Trust attracted $4.95 billion in net inflows, underscoring continued appetite for mega-cap technology exposure. This trend reflects a broader preference for large-cap growth over smaller companies.
With the macroeconomic calendar light on major releases, traders are focusing on technical levels and individual stock momentum. Monday’s trading session emphasized the importance of these factors in guiding market direction, as noted in a recent analysis.
