USA Rare Earth Inc. (NASDAQ:USAR) shares are trading lower Tuesday after the company reported second-quarter financial results Monday after the market closed.

USAR Misses Q2 Estimates; Cash Position at $1.53B
USA Rare Earth reported a second-quarter adjusted loss of 15 cents per share, missing the consensus estimate of a loss of 13 cents per share. In addition, the company reported revenue of $5.82 million, missing the consensus estimate of $8.05 million.
USA Rare Earth ended the quarter with approximately $1.53 billion in cash.

The urgency in the market has never been greater, and we are among the very few companies anywhere positioned to meet it,” said Barbara Humpton, CEO of USA Rare Earth.
What’s Next
The company said it expects to complete the Round Top definitive feasibility study in the fourth quarter of 2026 and reach 600 MTPA of run-rate magnet manufacturing capacity at its Stillwater facility.
