Velo3D Inc (NASDAQ:VELO) shares are surging Wednesday following the release of the company’s second-quarter 2026 financial results.

Strong Q2 Financial Performance Beats Wall Street Estimates

The additive manufacturing company reported second-quarter revenue of $20.7 million, representing 52.3% year-over-year growth and easily beating consensus estimates of $13.52 million.

Adjusted EPS came in at a loss of 30 cents, topping analyst estimates for a 31 cent loss per share. Gross margins shifted significantly into positive territory at 21.5%, up from negative 11.7% in the prior-year period, driven by manufacturing efficiencies and higher average selling prices.

Raised FY2026 Sales Guidance and Expanded Production Capacity

Encouraged by strong demand in aerospace and defense markets, management raised its full-year 2026 sales outlook to $65 million-$75 million, up from the previous range of $60.0 million–$70.0 million and above Wall Street estimates of $64.16 million. The company also highlighted its upcoming Livermore Production Campus, designed to triple manufacturing capacity.

Management Commentary Highlights Strategic Execution and Financial Growth

Providing commentary on the milestone quarter, CEO Arun Jeldi stated, “We delivered a strong quarter, with 52.3% year-over-year revenue growth, expanding margins and disciplined execution across our business. The strength of our results reflects the increasing demand for our advanced metal additive manufacturing solutions.”

Jeldi further said on the company’s conference call that existing space-related customers are accelerating production, driving increased demand for additive manufacturing solutions.

CFO Jim Suva added that ending the quarter with roughly $91 million in cash gives Velo3D greater financial flexibility to execute its growth strategy and support capacity expansion. The company launched its Livermore Production Campus in the second quarter and said the new facility is expected to triple its manufacturing capacity.
