Boxlight Corp. (NASDAQ:BOXL) shares are trading sharply higher Wednesday afternoon after the company announced capital-raising agreements.

Boxlight Secures Millions in Capital

The company completed the initial closing of a private placement of Series D Convertible Preferred Stock. The private placement secured $5.5 million in initial gross proceeds out of a total target of up to $7.5 million. Concurrently, Boxlight established a 36-month equity line of credit with Secure Net Capital LLC, providing access to up to $15 million in capital.

Why Boxlight Stock Is Surging

Investors are reacting positively to the cash injection. The primary driver for the stock’s upward momentum is the immediate liquidity boost provided by the $5.5 million funding.

Boxlight plans to deploy the proceeds toward working capital and debt retirement. Reducing existing leverage addresses balance sheet risk, while the strategic equity line offers financial flexibility to support ongoing operations.

Additionally, the structure of the Series D shares includes a 4.99% beneficial ownership limitation, helping to alleviate immediate market concerns regarding massive, concentrated dilution.
