Dell Technologies Inc. (NYSE:DELL) stock hit a new all-time high of $514.00 on Thursday as it continues to gain in 2026. That’s good news for CEO Michael Dell, who is the second-largest wealth gainer globally this year.

Michael Dell Net Worth Gains

Dell has been one of the top wealth gainers in 2026, and the recent surge in Dell’s stock price pushed the billionaire to fifth place on Wednesday.

Dell is worth $246 billion according to Bloomberg. This comes after a $12.6 billion gain on Wednesday and a year-to-date gain of $106 billion.

The $106 billion gain in 2026 trails only the $265 billion gain for first-place Elon Musk, who is worth $884 billion according to the latest rankings.

Dell started 2026 ranked 11th and has passed several people to climb into the top five. Next up is Google co-founder Sergey Brin, who is worth $275 billion. Thursday’s Dell stock gains may be enough to get him close.

Dell’s net worth is made up of three key components: his nearly 40% stake in Dell, his large stake in Broadcom Inc (NASDAQ:AVGO), and his cash holdings.

Dell acquired a large stake in Broadcom after the company bought VMWare, which was previously spun out from Dell. Broadcom stock is up 20.2% year-to-date.

The Dells pledged $6.25 billion for Trump Accounts in 2025, good for a $250 donation to any child 10 and under who opened a savings account under the president’s initiative.

Dell’s Wild Year

Dell stock is up 287.5% year-to-date in 2026, one of the top large-cap performers.

The stock got a boost and increased investor attention from President Donald Trump earlier this year. The president praised the company’s founder during a public appearance and encouraged consumers to go out and "buy a Dell."

It came out later that Trump owned shares of Dell, which means he could personally benefit from the endorsement and subsequent increased sales of Dell products.

With or without the Trump endorsement, Dell stock has been winning thanks to increasing demand for AI servers. Dell is viewed as an AI infrastructure play and has benefited from many positive earnings reports in recent weeks.

Dell is set to report second-quarter financial results on Sep. 3, 2026.
