RUM Group Inc. (NASDAQ:RUM) stock jumped nearly 11% on Monday as investors continued to buy into the company’s AI infrastructure expansion and acquisition-driven growth.
The rally came despite weakness in the broader market. The S&P 500 fell about 0.4%, while the Communication Services sector dropped about 2%.
Revenue Surge, Strong Guidance Put Quake AI In Focus
RUM Group’s latest earnings report put its growth outlook in focus. Second-quarter revenue rose 61% year over year to $40.37 million.
Meanwhile, the company forecast third-quarter revenue of $87 million to $93 million. That topped the Street estimate of $65.2 million, which may not fully reflect its Northern Data acquisition.
Northern Data contributed $10.1 million in revenue during the quarter. However, RUM Group posted a loss of 28 cents per share. Analysts had expected a loss of 9 cents.
Investors have also focused on Quake AI. The business gives RUM Group exposure to cloud computing, data centers, and AI infrastructure. As a result, traders are looking beyond Rumble’s core video platform.
Technical Analysis
RUM stock remains above its major moving averages. Shares are about 29% above both the 20-day and 200-day simple moving averages.
The stock’s 50-day moving average also remains above its 200-day average following a golden cross in June. That supports the longer-term bullish trend.
However, the relative strength index stands at 72.29. A reading above 70 typically signals overbought conditions. That could raise the risk of a pullback or consolidation after the recent rally.
Resistance sits near $8.50.
The Global X Social Media ETF (NASDAQ:SOCL) has a 4.67% weighting in RUM Group.
Price Action
RUM Stock Price Activity: RUM Group shares were up 10.59% at $8.25 at the time of publication Monday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
