Rapper and hip-hop artist Rick Ross has said he has installed Space Exploration Technologies Corp.’s (NASDAQ:SPCX) Starlink satellite internet service on his private jet.

Seamless Internet on Private Jet

In an interview with Complex released late Monday, the rapper showed off his $50 million jet hangar. Ross, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts II, talked about his experience with the service. “I just had it [the jet] recently upgraded with Starlink,” Roberts said. “It’s unbelievable,” the rapper said when asked about the connectivity.

“It’s just like, you at the crib. I’m on the phone call before I take off. As we take off, the phone call don’t stop,” he said.
“FaceTime, whatever it is. Streaming live, whatever it is,” he said. Roberts then shared that he spent $700,000 getting the service installed.

Starlink on Flights

Recently, investor and All-In Podcast host Jason Calacanis said that Starlink availability on flights is a top priority when he is thinking about booking plane tickets. “I’m picking commercial flights based on Starlink, not total time, route or price,” the investor said.

United Airlines Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:UAL) offers Starlink connectivity on its flights, with the airline having launched its international widebody flight equipped with Starlink and said it expects to install the technology on nearly 60 widebody aircraft by the end of the year.

American Airlines Group Inc. (NASDAQ:AAL) had earlier announced that it plans to equip more than 500 narrow-body aircraft with Starlink satellite internet, including its Airbus A321neo fleet. In June, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk confirmed that Starlink was arriving on American Airlines flights.

According to Benzinga Edge Rankings, SpaceX provides a favorable price trend in the Short, Medium and Long term.

Price Action: SpaceX Shares were down 1.59% to $141.06 during overnight trading on Tuesday.
