Qnity Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:Q) stock traded higher during Friday’s premarket session after the company appointed Ken Rizvi as chief financial officer, effective Oct. 1.

Interim CFO Michael Goss will transition to vice president of finance and controllership. The appointment comes as Qnity strengthens its leadership team amid strong demand across the semiconductor industry.

Rizvi brings more than 25 years of finance experience across the semiconductor industry. He most recently served as CFO of Synaptics Inc. (NASDAQ:SYNA) and previously held CFO roles at Smart Global Holdings, now Penguin Solutions, UTAC Group and Isola Group. He also held senior finance positions at Micron Technology and ON Semiconductor.

Technical Outlook: Momentum And Key Levels

Qnity shares are trading at $135, slightly above the 20-day simple moving average of $134.82. That suggests modest short-term strength.

However, the stock remains below its 50-day SMA of $143.50 and 100-day SMA of $143.08. Those levels could act as resistance during a rebound.

The Relative Strength Index stands at 46.85, putting momentum in neutral territory. The stock is neither overbought nor oversold based on that measure.

  • Key Resistance: $146.50 — a nearby level where rebounds could stall.
  • Key Support: $135 — a nearby level where buyers have previously stepped in.
