Sandisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK) stock traded slightly higher Wednesday. The stock gained about 0.5% as technology shares advanced with the broader market.
The Nasdaq rose 0.09%, while the S&P 500 gained 0.12%. The technology sector added 0.37%. Seven of the 11 market sectors traded higher.
Sandisk’s move appears tied to broader market strength rather than a company-specific headline. Investors are also watching whether the stock can resume its longer-term uptrend after a recent pullback.
The Russell 2000 gained 0.19%, while the Dow traded near the flatline. The market’s advance-decline ratio stood at 1.8, showing that advancing stocks outnumbered declining stocks.
Industrials led the market with a 1.30% gain. Materials followed with an increase of 0.81%.
Technical Analysis
Sandisk’s chart shows short-term weakness within a longer-term uptrend. The stock trades 53.7% above its 200-day simple moving average of $958.36. However, it remains 9.3% below its 50-day SMA of $1,623.75.
The 20-day SMA of $1,434.04 sits below the 50-day average. That bearish crossover points to weaker momentum over the intermediate term.
Sandisk’s relative strength index stands at 48.30. The neutral reading suggests that neither buyers nor sellers control the stock’s direction.
Resistance sits near $1,696.50. A break above that level could support another move higher. Support stands near $1,325, where buyers previously stepped in during the pullback.
