Optex Systems Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:OPXS), a leading manufacturer of precision optical sighting systems for domestic and worldwide military and commercial applications, announced today it has been awarded a new contract for Laser Filter Units associated with the XM157 Next Generation Fire Control Scope. The order value is $2.79 million with deliveries covering January 2027 through October 2027.
The Applied Optics Center, a Division of Optex Systems, Inc., is the leading provider of laser protection optics and optical devices that protect both the soldiers' eyes as well as their state-of-the-art visual augmentation devices. Bill Bates, GM of Applied Optics Center stated, "We are very proud of our contribution to the XM157 program and will ensure that our products continue to meet all performance specifications and continuously strive to improve our product yields, which ultimately lowers the cost to our customers and end-users in the U.S. military."
With this new order, the current Optex backlog is in excess of $26.5 million.
