Okta Inc’s (NASDAQ:OKTA) blockbuster second-quarter results are delivering an outsized payoff for traders using leveraged ETFs, with the Leverage Shares 2X Long OKTA Daily ETF (NASDAQ:OKTG) surging nearly 54% Thursday as shares of Okta rallied sharply.

Okta jumped more than 28% on Thursday after reporting revenue of $805 million, up 11% year over year and ahead of the $793 million consensus estimate. Adjusted EPS came in at $1.05, topping expectations of $0.97.

Okta Delivers Broad-Based Q2 Beat

Management also raised its full-year outlook for the second time this year, now expecting fiscal 2027 revenue of $3.216 billion to $3.226 billion, while guiding third-quarter revenue to $813 million-$817 million.

Analysts responded by lifting price targets. KeyBanc raised its target to $190 from $180, Guggenheim to $188 from $162, and DA Davidson to $190 from $165.

The strength also extended into Okta’s emerging AI-agent security business. New products accounted for 30% of bookings, while management said it had signed dozens of AI-agent deals, including a multi-million-dollar contract with a Fortune 50 healthcare company. Analysts noted that AI-agent deals are carrying larger average deal sizes than traditional contracts.

OKTG Amplifies Okta’s Post-Earnings Move

That setup is translating into amplified gains for OKTG. The ETF is designed to deliver 2X the daily performance of Okta, before fees and expenses. It carries a 0.75% expense ratio and rebalances daily.

The move illustrates both the appeal and the risk of single-stock leveraged ETFs. A sharp one-day rally in the underlying stock can produce a dramatically larger percentage move in a 2X product.

However, the leverage resets daily, meaning OKTG’s returns over longer periods can diverge substantially from simply twice Okta’s cumulative return.

OKTG Price Analysis

OKTG shares were up 54.09% at $40.08 at the time of publication on Thursday. The stock is trading at a new 52-week high, according to Benzinga Pro data, and is among Thursday’s top gainers. This significant upward movement reflects strong bullish sentiment among investors.

The current price is notably above both the recent trading range and historical averages, indicating robust momentum. The stock has surged past its previous 52-week high of $37.11, which now serves as a critical support level. Should the price retrace, this level may provide a foundation for buyers to step back in.

Volume on Thursday reached 0.2 million shares, suggesting heightened interest and participation in the stock’s movement. Increased volume often accompanies significant price shifts, reinforcing the validity of the current trend. A sustained increase in volume could further support upward price action, while a decrease might signal a reversal or consolidation.
