Strategy Inc. (NASDAQ:MSTR) bought 4,603 Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) for $370 million Monday, ending a two-month buying drought after Michael Saylor posted “We’re Back” on Sunday.

How Much Bitcoin Did Strategy Buy?

Saylor posted on X Monday that Strategy acquired 4,603 BTC at an average price of $80,382 per coin, lifting total holdings to 845,050 BTC.

Alongside the Bitcoin purchase, the company increased its USD Cash balance by $29 million and repurchased $152 million worth of STRC preferred stock.

Total US dollar assets now stand at $6.71 billion with net leverage at 0%.

Why Did Strategy Stop Buying Bitcoin for Two Months?

Between June 29 and Aug. 23, Strategy paused Bitcoin buying entirely and focused on cleaning up its balance sheet. Here is what it did during that stretch:

  • Sold 6,916 BTC for roughly $429 million
  • Raised $4.56 billion by issuing about 44.3 million MSTR shares
  • Repurchased over $500 million of STRC preferred shares
  • Grew its USD reserve from $2.55 billion to $5.1 billion
  • Established a new $1.59 billion flexible USD Cash pool

With net leverage now at zero and dollar assets fully covering outstanding debt, Monday’s purchase signals Strategy considers the balance sheet strong enough to go back on offense.

What Saylor’s Sunday Post Signaled

Saylor posted “We’re Back” on X Sunday, a move market watchers immediately read as a signal of an upcoming purchase announcement.

Saylor typically drops weekend posts ahead of Monday treasury disclosures, but that ritual went quiet throughout the summer as Strategy sold Bitcoin and built cash. Sunday marked the first return to that pattern in months.

MSTR Price Prediction: Key Levels to Watch

MSTR dropped 7.34% Friday to $127.31 after rejecting resistance near $136, landing directly on the Bull Market Support Band at $122.72 to $127.64.

That band held, and premarket Monday shows the stock bouncing back to $129.71, up nearly 2%, suggesting the selloff found buyers rather than triggering a breakdown.

The 20-day and 50-day EMAs remain well below at $111, keeping the broader recovery structure intact.

A reclaim of $130 with follow-through puts the $136 highs back in play. Losing the support band again opens a move toward $110.

Key levels for MSTR:

  • $135.97 — Friday’s high, resistance above
  • $122 to $128 — support band, must hold
