The designation requires platforms with over 45 million monthly active users in the EU to adhere to strict systemic risk assessments, independent safety audits and enhanced child protection standards.

The stock’s move higher builds on solid fundamental momentum from Roblox’s second-quarter financial report released on July 30. In response to growing legislative proposals like the Kids Online Safety Act, Roblox boosted its federal lobbying efforts while emphasizing its commitment to safety innovations, age-gated parental controls and expanded AI-driven chat filtering.
