Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO) along with Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD) and Saudi Arabia’s HUMAIN disclosed that AI infrastructure powered by AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs and built on Cisco Silicon One-based networking is now operational in Saudi Arabia.
It will support customers of HUMAIN, which is a PIF company delivering full-stack AI solutions, across the Kingdom and beyond.
Cisco AI Networking Deal With AMD And HUMAIN
The production deployment combines AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs and AMD EPYC CPUs with Cisco networking infrastructure.
This represents a key step in the companies’ efforts to establish an open, large-scale AI platform in Saudi Arabia.
Cisco’s N9000 Series platform, powered by Cisco Silicon One and Cisco 800G optics, links the MI355X GPUs through an AI-focused network fabric engineered to support large-scale deployments, low-latency performance and operational resilience.
This infrastructure allows HUMAIN to deliver GPU-as-a-service for a broad range of applications, including AI model training and inferencing.
Building on this initiative, Cisco, AMD and HUMAIN intend to roll out up to 250 MW of AI infrastructure through their previously announced joint venture.
The planned infrastructure will combine AMD Instinct MI400 Series GPUs, AMD EPYC CPUs and AMD ROCm open software with Cisco networking and other essential infrastructure.
Deployment is expected to start in 2027, with the first capacity anticipated to come online during the second half of the year.
The next stage of the joint venture is expected to substantially increase Saudi Arabia’s AI computing capacity. Supported by strong customer demand, the venture remains on track to deploy up to 1 GW of AI infrastructure by 2030.
