Rocket Lab Corp. (NASDAQ:RKLB) stock traded more than 1% lower Wednesday. The decline came despite broader market gains. The Nasdaq rose 0.06%, while the S&P 500 gained 0.36%.
Technical Analysis
Rocket Lab remained in a long-term downtrend. The stock traded 15.1% below its 20-day simple moving average and 17.8% below its 50-day average. It also stood 21.5% below its 200-day average.
In addition, the 50-day average remained below the 200-day average. That confirmed the "death cross" formed in August. This bearish pattern can limit rallies until the stock recovers its major moving averages.
Momentum indicators also remained weak. The moving average convergence divergence indicator, or MACD, sat below its signal line. Its histogram was also negative. Together, those signals suggest that buying momentum continues to fade.
Key resistance sits near $67.50. That level could limit a rebound before the stock reaches its short-term moving averages.
Meanwhile, support stands near $58.50. A break below that level could expose the stock to further losses.
Rocket Lab Completes 94th Electron Mission
Separately, Rocket Lab said Wednesday that it successfully launched its 94th Electron rocket from New Zealand. The mission deployed Synspective’s latest StriX Earth-imaging satellite into low Earth orbit.
The flight marked Rocket Lab’s 15th launch of 2026 and maintained its 100% mission success rate for Synspective. Rocket Lab has 16 more Electron missions booked to expand Synspective’s satellite constellation by 2030.

Benzinga Edge Rankings
Rocket Lab has a weak Momentum score of 13.68 on the Benzinga Edge scorecard. The reading reflects the stock’s position well below its major moving averages.
The technical setup remains challenging. Longer-term bulls may want to see the stock recover resistance and move back above its key averages before momentum improves.
