Jensen Huang’s net worth continues to rise this year, helped by the ongoing artificial intelligence boom that has made Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) the biggest company in the world with a market capitalization of $5.56 trillion.

Bloomberg data shows that Huang’s wealth has jumped by over $32 billion this year, bringing his net worth to over $191 billion. This wealth makes him the eighth richest person in the world after Elon Musk, Larry Page, Jeff Bezos, Sergey Brin, Michael Dell, Mark Zuckerberg and Larry Ellison.

Huang derives his net worth from his stake in Nvidia. Recent filings shows that he owns 870.6 million shares, equivalent to 3.58% of the company. Other top executives in the company like Colette Kress, Ajay Puri and Timothy Teter have also become billionaires.

Huang Has Become the Most Influential People in AI

Huang has driven Nvidia to become the most influential company in the AI space, thanks to his major investments. Nvidia has used its windfall to invest in some of the biggest companies in the space.

It has become a major investor in Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), CoreWeave (NASDAQ:CRWV), and Nebius (NASDAQ:NBIS). Its other large investments are in companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, Marvell Technologies, Lumentum, and IREN. It acquired Hugging Face in a $13 billion deal, and according to The Information, it is planning to invest in Thinking Machines.

Most importantly, the company has organized a $500 billion fund with key companies like Brookfield, Apollo Global, and BlackStone to fund the AI roll out. These activities have pushed some investors to view Nvidia as the central bank of the AI industry, with Huang at the helm.
