Mobix Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ:MOBX) shares are surging by over 40% on Tuesday after the company won an initial F-16 component order, with deliveries already underway.
Wins Initial F-16 Component Order
The company disclosed that a veteran-owned U.S. aerospace sustainment contractor supporting the Air Force’s F-16 fleet placed an order for EMI-filtered connectors manufactured by Mobix Labs’ EMI Solutions unit at its military-approved facility in Irvine, California.
The company has already delivered the initial shipments, while the remaining order is expected to be fulfilled in the coming weeks.
The F-16 order further expands Mobix Labs’ defense and aerospace presence across major U.S. fighter platforms.
The company also pointed back to a previously announced 5x growth in F-22 component orders, framing the latest win as part of a broader ramp in defense/aerospace demand.
MOBX Vs Technology Sector Performance Today
MOBX is sharply outperforming the Technology sector on Tuesday, rising over 40% versus XLK up 0.42%. Technology is currently the No. 3 performer out of 11 sectors, trailing Energy (+1.17%) and Utilities (+1.06%).
Zooming out, Technology is up 1.15% over the past 30 days and up 6.70% over the past 90 days, which supports a constructive backdrop for tech-linked names. Still, MOBX’s move is far larger than the sector’s gain, which points to company-specific news flow (defense program traction) doing most of the work today.
What Mobix Labs Does And Key End Markets
Mobix Labs Inc designs, develops and sells components and systems for wireless and wired connectivity, radio frequency (RF), switching and electromagnetic interference (EMI) filtering technologies. Its product set spans RF and millimeter wave communications, mmWave imaging, software defined radio, and custom RF integrated circuits used across defense, aerospace, commercial, and industrial markets.
Most of the company’s revenue comes from product sales to equipment manufacturers, and the U.S. is its largest geography. That makes new fighter-aircraft component orders especially important because they can signal deeper program adoption and potentially steadier demand if follow-on orders build from initial deliveries.
