Macro investor Jordi Visser on Thursday said that Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) is the only asset built to win in a world where AI creates abundance but cannot create scarcity.

Visser told The Journeyman podcast that as AI accelerates economic growth and disrupts traditional businesses, investors need assets that no one can replicate or inflate away.

Bitcoin fills that role in the digital economy the same way gold once did in the physical one, and he views it as directly tied to the pace of AI disruption rather than separate from it.

His long-term framework is straightforward: the digital asset world reaches at least $100 trillion, Bitcoin holds at least 33% of that market, and the math does the rest. He has never sold a single Bitcoin and has no intention of starting.

Ethereum Could Outperform as Tokenization Accelerates

Visser added that while Bitcoin remains his highest conviction long-term hold, he expects Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) to outperform Bitcoin over the next year specifically because of the tokenization and stablecoin boom.

He views Ethereum as a commodity tied to blockchain compute demand, with trust built over years making it the natural choice for banks and financial institutions entering the space.

Moreover, he also holds a position in Zcash (CRYPTO: ZEC) for its privacy narrative.

Why Visser Is Not Worried About Bond Yields

Visser told Pal that the bond yield panic gripping markets is overblown, pointing out that U.S. 20-plus year Treasury ETFs are only down 3% year-to-date despite headlines screaming about yields at multi-decade highs.

He sees yields as a reflection of strong nominal GDP growth, record profit margins, and the early stages of AI-driven productivity, not a signal of systemic collapse.

Tokenization Race Could Reshape Global Capital Markets

Visser noted that tokenization is becoming a geopolitical race as critical as AI itself, with countries that fail to put their assets on chain risking deeper and less liquid capital markets over time.

He sees Robinhood (NASDAQ:HOOD) as the perfect middle-ground platform merging traditional finance with crypto, and expects the velocity of capital to increase violently once tokenization reaches mainstream adoption across debt, equities, and real-world assets.
