ZenaTech, Inc. (NASDAQ:ZENA) on Tuesday disclosed that it has completed the acquisition of Merritt Paul Land Surveying, LLC, which is a land surveying firm based in Franklin, Georgia.
Merritt Paul serves the solar, transportation and construction sectors, including a major national transportation company and specializes in utility-scale solar surveys across the U.S.
ZenaTech did not disclose the financial terms of the deal. The deal marks ZenaTech’s 29th Drone as a Service acquisition.
Details
CEO Shaun Passley, Ph.D., said the acquisition strengthens ZenaTech’s DaaS exposure to utility-scale solar and transportation infrastructure. Merritt Paul founders Tyler Bius and Levi George each bring more than a decade of surveying experience with major rail and airport clients.
Notably, the company said that the drone solar inspection market is projected to grow from $1.2 billion in 2024 to $6.8 billion by 2032 at an approximately 25% CAGR, according to Verified Market Research.
ZenaTech’s Drone as a Service platform offers subscription-based solutions for surveying, inspections, maintenance, power washing and precision agriculture using ZenaDrone systems, eliminating the need for customers to operate their own commercial drone fleets.
By acquiring established, profitable but under-digitized service businesses, the company is building a scalable global DaaS and AI platform with recurring revenue, existing customers and expanded drone capabilities.
