Shares of BioAffinity Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:BIAF) are surging Thursday afternoon following the grant of a key Hong Kong patent for its CyPath Lung diagnostic. The rally is also boosting BioAffinity’s Warrants (NASDAQ:BIAFW), up nearly 20% late Thursday.

Dual Asian Patent Protection Targets High-Incidence Market
The newly granted Hong Kong patent covers BioAffinity’s platform technology, which uses flow cytometry and fluorescent markers to identify malignant cells in patient sputum.
Complementing a 2025 patent in China, BioAffinity says the grant establishes dual IP protection in a region accounting for nearly two-thirds of global lung cancer cases (~1.6 million annually).
Robust Clinical Performance and Growing Global Moat
Per BioAffinity, CyPath Lung provides a noninvasive tool to assess indeterminate lung nodules under 20 millimeters, boasting 92% sensitivity, 87% specificity, 88% accuracy and a 99% negative predictive value in clinical trials.
Marketed as a CLIA-regulated laboratory developed test, the diagnostic is now protected across the U.S., Europe, Japan, China and Hong Kong.
BIAF Stock Skyrockets Thursday Afternoon
BIAF Price Action: bioAffinity Technologies shares were up 50.47% at $8.05 at the time of publication on Thursday. The stock is trading near its 52-week low of $4.55, according to Benzinga Pro data.
