Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO Elon Musk has said that Space Exploration Technologies Corp.‘s (NASDAQ:SPCX) AI model Grok will be available in Tesla vehicles.
Grok on Tesla Vehicles Can Clear Inboxes and More
In a post on X on Tuesday, Tesla’s official handle posted a video that showcased Grok’s capabilities, saying that the AI bot was capable of “meaningful work” like managing inboxes, clearing Calendars, as well as editing and adding stuff to pre-existing documents.
The video showcased the bot analyzing and editing documents, checking emails, as well as engaging in conversation about scheduling conflicts and more. Musk quoted the post on Tuesday, saying that the Grok functionality was now available in Tesla vehicles.
Tesla’s official website says that Grok is only available on vehicles with an Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD) processor as well as “Vehicle software version 2025.26 or later” and Premium Connectivity features or a Wi-Fi connection.
“Grok may become available for additional Tesla vehicles with over-the-air software updates in the future,” Tesla says on its official website. “Grok availability is subject to change or end at any time,” the automaker says.
Earlier in August, motoring journalist James May, who also hosted TV shows like “Top Gear” and “The Grand Tour,” had tested Grok’s capabilities in his Tesla Model 3, saying that the Grok-powered AI voice assistant sounded “insincere” in its conversations.

Tesla also reopened reservations for the Roadster high-performance vehicle, charging prospective owners $50,000 to reserve their unit ahead of the vehicle’s debut on October 1st, which has been touted by Musk as an experience that would have “guaranteed” excitement.
Price Action: Tesla shares rose 0.45% to $380.62 during the pre-market trading session on Wednesday.
