Oracle Corp. (NYSE:ORCL) edged lower during Wednesday’s premarket session as weakness across technology stocks weighs on sentiment. Nasdaq futures are down about 0.5%, while S&P 500 futures have slipped 0.07%.

Oracle Expands Cloud Applications Use

Separately, Oracle said Wednesday that Co-op Live, the U.K.’s largest indoor arena, is using Oracle Simphony Cloud Point of Sale and Oracle NetSuite to connect its food and beverage operations with financial management.

The Manchester venue is using the platforms to manage transactions, inventory, budgeting and forecasting across bars, concessions, premium spaces and self-service kiosks.

Oracle said the integration gives Co-op Live a shared view of sales, demand and financial performance, helping the venue streamline operations and respond more quickly during high-volume events.

The deployment highlights Oracle’s broader push to expand its cloud applications across hospitality and live entertainment businesses.

Technical Analysis

ORCL is sending mixed technical signals.

At about $148.80, the stock is roughly 1% below its 20-day simple moving average of $149.85. However, it remains about 4.8% above its 50-day SMA of $141.51.

That suggests the recent rebound remains intact, although near-term momentum has cooled.

The longer-term picture is weaker. ORCL trades about 8.4% below its 100-day SMA of $161.97 and 10.5% below its 200-day SMA of $165.70.

Meanwhile, the relative strength index stands at 51.49. That puts momentum in neutral territory, with the stock neither overbought nor oversold.

ORCL’s 20-day SMA remains above its 50-day SMA, supporting the shorter-term recovery. However, the 50-day average remains below the 200-day SMA following a January death cross.

Resistance sits near $159.50, close to the 100-day exponential moving average of $155.69. Support is near $137. A break below that level could put the 52-week low of $114.50 back in focus.

Analyst Outlook

Oracle trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of about 23.4. The stock carries a Buy consensus rating and an average price forecast of $249.64.

Freedom Broker maintained a Buy rating on Sept. 14 but lowered its price forecast to $205. Argus Research maintained its Buy rating and $225 price forecast the same day. Stifel maintained a Buy rating on Sept. 11 while cutting its price forecast to $200.

Benzinga Edge Rankings

The Benzinga Edge scorecard shows Oracle with strong growth but weaker momentum and value scores.

Oracle has a Growth score of 97.46. However, its Momentum score stands at 7.78, while its Value score is 18.75.

The technical setup could strengthen if Oracle moves back above the $159.50 resistance area. Until then, the stock remains caught between improving short-term momentum and weaker longer-term trends.
