Jefferies Cuts GE Aerospace Price Target

Jefferies analyst Sheila Kahyaoglu maintained a Buy rating on GE Aerospace but lowered the price target to $435 from $455.

GE Invests In Research, Advanced Propulsion

Beyond the near-term market pressure, GE Aerospace continues to invest in research and next-generation propulsion. The company plans to spend $225 million to modernize its research center in Niskayuna, New York.

The GEK800 Serial Number 1 achieved a successful ignition milestone at the X-58 test facility, marking the start of a new testing campaign for the cruise-missile propulsion program.

Commercial aerospace fundamentals also remain supportive. GE Aerospace’s CFO said at the Morgan Stanley conference that airline fleet plans remain intact and parked aircraft levels are still very low.

The company expects commercial engine services to grow more than 20% in 2026, supported by about $170 billion in multiyear services backlog.

GEnx engine deliveries rose 50% year over year in the second quarter, with further growth expected in the third quarter.
