The incident began when a user shared a photograph of tangled wires hanging from a utility pole with Muse, Meta’s AI agent.
Rather than simply identifying the problem or suggesting ways to report it, Muse navigated Verizon’s website, entered the necessary verification details and submitted a cleanup request.
The AI agent successfully filed a service ticket under reference number NJC603CC0E and arranged for Verizon to contact the user within 24 to 72 hours to coordinate a dispatch.
Verizon did not immediately respond to Benzinga’s request for comment.

Wang shared the interaction on X, praising the application of the AI agent as an example of how the technology can deliver tangible benefits in everyday life.
