U.S. stocks were mixed, with the Dow Jones index falling over 100 points on Tuesday.

Shares of Carmax Inc (NYSE:KMX) rose sharply after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results.

CarMax reported quarterly earnings of $1.16 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $0.73 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $7.878 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $6.976 billion.

Carmax shares jumped 9.7% to $62.02 on Tuesday.

  • Iovance Biotherapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:IOVA) shares jumped 26.7% to $13.93 after the company raised its FY26 revenue guidance.
  • ITG Inc (NASDAQ:ITG) gained 16.5% to $8.23.
  • Carnival Corporation Ltd (NYSE:CCL) rose 12.5% to $24.92 as the company reported better-than-expected third-quarter financial results and raised its FY26 adjusted EPS guidance above estimates.
  • Bloom Energy Corp (NYSE:BE) gained 12.3% to $295.16. Jefferies analyst Julien Dumoulin-Smith maintained Bloom Energy with a Hold and raised the price target from $229 to $264.
  • Perella Weinberg Partners (NASDAQ:PWP) gained 11.6% to $16.35 following a report suggesting that investment bank Piper Sandler has been in talks to combine with the advisory firm.
  • Armada Acquisition Corp II (NASDAQ:XRPN) rose 11.5% to $11.80.
  • AXT Inc (NASDAQ:AXTI) jumped 9.3% to $80.54.
  • ASP Isotopes Inc (NASDAQ:ASPI) gained 8.3% to $2.82.
  • Warby Parker Inc (NYSE:WRBY) climbed 8.2% to $26.67.
  • STAAR Surgical Co (NASDAQ:STAA) gained 7.6% to $22.46 after Stifel upgraded the stock from Hold to Buy and raised its price target from $28 to $31.
  • Primoris Services Corp (NYSE:PRIM) rose 6.8% to $75.98. Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Manish A. Somaiya reiterated Primoris Services with a Neutral and maintained a $105 price target.
  • Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (NYSE:RCL) gained 6.6% to $258.60. Shares of cruise companies traded higher amid sympathy with Carnival after that company reported better-than-expected quarterly financial results and raised its FY26 adjusted EPS guidance above estimates.
  • Argan Inc (NYSE:AGX) gained 6.5% to $378.39. JP Morgan analyst Michael Fairbanks maintained the stock with an Overweight rating and cut the price target from $800 to $785.
