Scienture Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:SCNX) shares fell 19.36% to $0.21 in after-hours trading Wednesday after the company announced a 1-for-25 reverse stock split of its outstanding common stock.

Scienture Holdings is a holding company for existing and planned pharmaceutical operating companies, focused on providing enhanced value to patients, physicians and caregivers through the development, commercialization and distribution of novel specialty products addressing unmet market needs.

Reverse Split Details

The reverse stock split is expected to take effect before markets open Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, with the stock continuing to trade on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the symbol “SCNX” on a split-adjusted basis, according to a press release. As of Sept. 30, 2026, the company had approximately 41.06 million shares of common stock issued and outstanding; following the split, it expects to have approximately 1.64 million shares outstanding. The stock will trade under a new CUSIP number, 80880X203.

Every 25 shares will be converted automatically into one share without any change in par value, and the total number of authorized shares will remain unchanged. No fractional shares will be issued; stockholders otherwise entitled to a fractional share will instead receive a cash payment in lieu of it. Proportional adjustments will also be made to shares issuable under the company’s equity awards, convertible preferred stock and warrants, along with their applicable exercise or conversion prices.

The company said the split is intended to help it maintain compliance with Nasdaq’s minimum bid price requirement and make additional shares available for future issuance.
