Here’s what investors need to know.
- Innodata stock is surging to new heights today. What’s fueling INOD momentum?
Sector Rally Sparked by Accenture’s Q4 Revenue and Earnings Beat
The primary catalyst lifting professional services shares is Accenture’s fiscal fourth-quarter performance, which signaled robust enterprise demand for digital transformation and AI integration. Accenture reported adjusted diluted earnings of $3.29 per share, comfortably surpassing Wall Street estimates of $3.18 per share.
Quarterly net revenue rose 6% year-over-year in U.S. dollars to $18.70 billion, handily beating analyst expectations of $18.03 billion. Growth was led by the Communications, Media & Technology segment, where revenue expanded 10% to $3.3 billion, and Health & Public Service, which grew 8% to $3.9 billion. New client bookings reached $22.2 billion for the quarter, while operating margin expanded 370 basis points to 15.3%.
Record Big-Ticket Client Bookings and Executive Commentary
Accenture highlighted a quarterly record of 141 new client bookings valued at $100 million or more, underscoring strong demand for large-scale enterprise modernization.
"We exceeded our fourth-quarter revenue guidance range and capped off another year of broad-based growth across our business, grew adjusted EPS 8%, returned a record $11.5 billion to shareholders and reached a new high of 141 quarterly client bookings of $100 million or more," said Accenture Chair and CEO Julie Sweet.
"These results reflect the continued trust our clients place in us to help them reinvent and create value, the high level of innovation we bring every day and the extraordinary commitment of our Reinventors to our clients’ success," Sweet concluded.
Upward FY2027 Outlook Drives Read-Through for Data Engineering Peers
Reinforcing sector-wide optimism, Accenture issued a full-year fiscal 2027 revenue forecast of $76.43 billion to $78.65 billion, topping Wall Street’s expectation of $76.41 billion. The company also guided full-year adjusted EPS to between $14.39 and $14.81.
The strong forward outlook generated a positive read-through for specialized data engineering and AI-enabling service providers like Innodata. Accenture’s expanding pipeline of AI implementation could serve as a key indicator of durable demand for underlying data preparation, training and specialized consulting services across the broader technology ecosystem.
