Search Interest Changes
The month of September saw many changes to the leaderboard of the most-searched stocks on Benzinga Pro.
Among the biggest changes was Meta surging up the leaderboard to place third, marking only the second time in four months that Meta ranked in the top 12. This came as Meta launched the Muse AI agent and saw strong interest among investors for its AI tools and growth.
Apple also surged higher going from ninth to second place with a new CEO taking over and the launch of the highly anticipated iPhone 18, along with details on the foldable iPhone Duo during the month as well.
Oracle rejoined the leaderboard ranking 7th, its first time in the top 12 since June.
Dell Technologies ranked eighth on the leaderboard, the company’s first entry in 2026.
Another newcomer to the top 12 in September was Bloom Energy, ranking 10th. The stock has not ranked in the top 12 in 2026 and is seeing strong interest from investors with shares up over 200% year-to-date.
Robinhood rejoined the top 12 for the first time in years, ranking 12th on the list. The company is launching new AI trading tools and preparing for future growth with 24-hour trading, items that could help diversify and increase revenue.
Other gainers during the month were also the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, Micron and the Invesco QQQ Trust, each gaining one position from the prior month.
Nvidia fell from first place to fifth in September, marking another month outside the top three for the company. Nvidia regularly appeared in the top three for months, but in recent history has found itself less popular with readers.
SpaceX saw a dramatic fall from third place to 11th place in September. The company has ranked in the top five each month since going public, including two top-three appearances in June and August. This could signal the end of SpaceX being one of the most searched tickers each month.
Dropping out of the top 12 in September were SanDisk (4th), Nebius (7th), Palantir (8th), Marvell (11th) and Advanced Micro Devices (12th).
