Marvell Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MRVL) stock is trading lower by about 2% during Wednesday’s premarket session after closing nearly 6% higher Tuesday, as investors take some profits following the sharp rally.

The pullback also comes as risk appetite weakens across Wall Street. Nasdaq futures are down 0.73%, while S&P 500 futures have slipped 0.37%.

Marvell stock surged Tuesday after management outlined aggressive long-term growth targets at its investor day, fueling renewed optimism around the chipmaker’s growth outlook.

Analysts also raised their price forecasts following the chipmaker’s bullish investor day. Needham maintained a Buy rating Wednesday and raised its price forecast to $400. Cantor Fitzgerald maintained a Neutral rating and lifted its price forecast to $350.

Maps Out Ambitious Growth Targets

Marvell said it expects its total addressable market to reach about $400 billion by 2030.

Management also projected roughly $20 billion in revenue for fiscal 2028, rising to between $70 billion and $90 billion by fiscal 2031.

Those targets strengthened the case for Marvell as a major beneficiary of artificial intelligence and data center spending.

Technical Analysis

Marvell remains in a strong longer-term uptrend. The stock is trading 12.1% above its 20-day SMA of $251.64 and 67% above its 200-day SMA of $168.88.

The 20-day SMA remains above the 50-day SMA. In addition, the golden cross formed in October 2025, when the 50-day SMA moved above the 200-day SMA, continues to support the longer-term bullish trend.

However, momentum is stretched. Marvell’s RSI stands at 70.78, putting the stock in overbought territory. That can increase the risk of short-term pullbacks or consolidation after sharp gains.

  • Key Resistance: $300 — a major round-number level that could act as a near-term ceiling.
  • Key Support: $244 — a prior demand area near the rising short- and intermediate-term moving averages.
