Billionaire investor Mark Cuban recently noted that curiosity is a major competitive advantage for anyone striving for success.

Curiousity Cures the Cat?

At a June 16 interview with entrepreneur and podcast host Erica Wenger, Cuban said that the foundation of being successful is being curious.

“Not just being curious, but being able to be a sponge and assimilate as much as possible,” the "Shark Tank" added.

Cuban noted that curiosity pushes people to make improvements and keep learning.

“It makes you smarter about what you’re doing. And that’s the beauty of all this,” he said. “And that’s why you can learn to be curious.”

The celebrity investor broadened the discussion to entrepreneurship, adding that, in his view, nobody has succeeded in business “by not being curious.”

The Path Toward Billionaire Wealth

Cuban is a minority stakeholder in the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks and a co-founder of Cost Plus Drugs, a pharmaceutical company.

Forbes estimates his net worth at $6.8 billion, with a significant portion stemming from the $5.7 billion sale of Broadcast.com to Yahoo! in 1999.

Cuban was once an avid supporter of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE).

Eventually, he grew disillusioned with cryptocurrency and ended up selling the majority of his BTC, as it failed to meet his expectations.
