Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Portfolio & Holdings Data: Stock symbols, share quantities, purchase prices, and dates you manually enter or import.
Brokerage Account Data (Elite plan): When you use the Live Brokerage Link feature, we retrieve your brokerage account names, account numbers, and current positions (holdings) via read-only OAuth through SnapTrade. We never receive or store your brokerage username, password, or any credentials.
Communications: Messages you send us via email or contact forms.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Create and manage your account.
Process payments and manage subscriptions.
Send transactional emails (e.g., subscription confirmations, password resets).
Send news alerts and notifications you have subscribed to.
Sync brokerage positions to your Stockysis portfolios when you use the Live Brokerage Link feature.
Improve and personalize the Site experience.
Monitor and analyze usage trends and site performance.
Comply with legal obligations.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with:

Service Providers: Trusted third parties that help us operate the Site (e.g., Stripe for payments, Mailtrap/mail providers for email delivery, SnapTrade for brokerage connections).
Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Stockysis and its users.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred.

4. Brokerage Connections

Elite plan subscribers may connect their brokerage accounts using the Live Brokerage Link feature, powered by SnapTrade. The following applies to this integration:

Read-only access: The connection is strictly read-only. Stockysis can view your positions and account names but cannot place trades, transfer funds, or make any changes to your brokerage account.
No credential storage: Your brokerage username and password are entered directly on your broker’s own website via OAuth. Stockysis never sees, transmits, or stores your login credentials.
SnapTrade token: We store an encrypted SnapTrade user token that identifies your connection. This token is used solely to retrieve your positions and cannot be used to access your brokerage account directly.
Data retrieved: Account names, account numbers (last 4 digits), and current holdings (symbol, quantity, average cost) are retrieved and stored in your Stockysis portfolio.
Disconnecting: You may disconnect your brokerage at any time by visiting My Portfolios › Manage Connected Brokerages. This removes the connection and you may request deletion of the associated data by contacting us.
SnapTrade’s Privacy Policy: SnapTrade acts as a sub-processor for this feature. We encourage you to review SnapTrade’s Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain session state, remember preferences, and analyze site traffic. We also use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the Site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not function correctly.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at [email protected].

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS, hashed passwords, and secure payment processing via Stripe. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Third-Party Services

The Site integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), Alpaca (market data), SnapTrade (brokerage connections), and Google Analytics (usage analytics). These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
